Judith (Judee) Burr is a student in Geography PhD program at the University of British Columbia Vancouver. Her past interdisciplinary scholarship has focused on fire-maintained ecosystems and the historical geographies of power, governance, and Indigenous knowledge that shape them. She graduated with a Masters degree in 2022 from the Interdisciplinary Studies program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, in the Digital Arts & Humanities theme. Her thesis research took the form of this public audio documentary podcast: “Listening to Fire Knowledges in and around the Okanagan Valley.” She graduated with a BSc with honors in Earth Systems and a BA in Philosophy in 2012 from Stanford University.
